Johannesburg visitors Jeppe produced a five-star first half backline performance on their way to recording a 46-14 victory against Northwood. The Jeppe backs combined brilliantly to exploit the spaces on the field. Using speed, superior handling and vision, they scored five tries in the first 35-minutes, helping their team to change ends at 41-7 to the good. All credit to Northwood as well. Parktown has withdrawn (suspended) sporting fixtures against KES in the interim. The two schools are busy talking about this so there are chances that the Parktown issues will be resolved. Two ex-Parktown boys were amongst a group of 20 odd boys (some from state schools, some from independent both boys and co-ed schools) who enrolled from grade 9 -11 at KES this year and are the cause of Parktown’s decision.…

A smart joint decision has been made by Centurion and Eldoraigne. They have agreed to have their Tuks Reeks match in March double as a Beeld Bulls Macro B-league encounter. History of the Beeld : Garsies make history
After losing out by one point to Nelspruit in 2014, Garsfontein from Pretoria rewrote the history books on Saturday when they beat HTS Middelburg 42-40 in the Beeld Noordvaal Trofee final to claim the much sort after “Macro Schools” title for the first time in their history. Garsfontein opened its doors in 1988. The 2015 final also accounted for the highest number of points scored in a final – 82 points. The previous highest was 43 – 23 in 1998 when Affies beat Waterkloof.…
