Wynberg Festival 2019 – fixtures

picture from the Wynberg Boy’s High School website
After being cancelled due to the Western Cape drought in 2018, the Wynberg Festival is set to return in a new time slot in 2019.

The 2019 school calendar with its “disruptive” holidays has given most schools their share of fixture planning headaches. It’s also prompted Wynberg to move their festival from the weekend normally falling on or between the 27 April and 01 May public holidays, to the end of first term holidays with match days set on 21, 23 and 25 March (Thu, Sat, Mon).

@Roger: I have some mates that live in the Gold Coast – they seem very happy there.

@McCulleys Workshop: not sure mate – I’m not that close to it all anymore unfortunately. We took the gap a couple of years ago and are in Aus now so only pop in here every now and then. Last time I watched KES play was the great 2017 team just before we left.

@Vleis: guess that answers your question too

@Roger: @Beet: Despite flouncing from this site, I’m willing to bet big moola that Grassy still pops in for a sneaky peek every now and then.

Roger, your lightie must be high school age by now…so…is he a KES boy, or have you wimped out and sent him to a private school?

Every once in a while San Isidro arrives on SA shores with chart topper of a team.

Hopefully this will be one of those years. It could help transform Wynberg’s fest into a memorable event.
