Oakdale Festival 2014

Fixtures for Day 1 of the Oakdale Festival have been confirmed. The first of four big games kicks off at 15h10. It sees Hugenote of Wellington in the Boland taking on Sentraal from Bloemfontein. That’s followed by Uitenhage’s Die Brandwag up against Pietersburg. Kempton Park  has performed well in the Beeldtrofee in recent years comes and are up against a formidable Bellville team. In the main game the highly rated hosts Oakdale will give a taste of what to expect from them this year when they meet Voortrekker from Bethlehem, Free State. Perhaps the only surprise is Diamantveld having a very early kickoff. One would have expected the schoolboys from Kimberley to fill a later slot.

@Ploegskaar: Ploegie jy is reg dit gaan n baie jongspan wees Wat jou kommentaar oor wedstrydbepalings oor seisoen is jy reg. Daar is n klomp spanne in Premier B wat swak is. Ek het laasjaar gesien by Bell se o16B span dat die helfde van hulle wedstryde gekansselleer was. Dit sluit nogal Stellenberg in,wat nogal vreemd was.

A wonderful opportunity for the young Bellville team to measure themselves against one of the better teams in SA, especially in view of the pathetic 2014 fixture list they received from the WPSU.

Their games against Augsberg Gym and Paarl Gym at the M&F Rugby Day this coming weekend (although 20 min./half and no kicks) should give an indication of how competitive they will be. Best of luck and looking forward to support you and the Boland boys who will be in action against Durbanville and HTS Drostdy.
