On 19 April St Stithians are playing 2 matches? How?

Standard Bank are obviously a bit tight or not seeing the benefit from it. This festival looks a bit like a B league festival, no disrespect. Glenwood should probably be there now ;-)

    GREAT LINE UP

I really like the inclusion of Windhoek and St. John’s. 3 teams from outside S.A. is great for the game and boys in this festival.

    EASTER FESTIVALS

My comment on Easter festivals, is a general one, and not about the KES-festival. It is a fact that the Easter festivals do not have the same attraction any more than 10-15 years ago. The reasons are obvious: Wildeklawer and Noord-Suid arrived on the scene, the cost involved in being part of three or more festivals, and just too many traditional fixtures these days. II have been to St Johns festivals where all of eg Grey, Affies, Paarl Boys, Paul Roos, etc were present. It is just not happening any more.
It is a pity, because part of the tradition of the the Easter festivals, is the spirit in which everything took place – on and off the field. These festivals played over the years an enourmous role in the development of schoolboy rugby.
