Queen’s beats Graeme 31-0 – match report

SACS beats Rondebosch 27-15 – match report
For the second week in a row The South African College High School (SACS) travelled a short distance down the road to one of their traditional Southern Suburb rivals, this time Rondebosch Boys’ High. Once again the hosts were firm favourites, most of their largely Grade 12 team, having never lost a Southern Suburbs derby in their High School careers. For the second week in a row SACS started slowly conceding an early lead before coming back to win 27-15 (Half-time 10-8). …
Kearsney beats Maritzburg College 23-20 – match report
Kearsney’s 23-20 victory was only their tenth win ever against Maritzburg College but significantly also their fourth in the last five meetings between the two schools. Although the 43-point match turned out to be one of those heart-stoppers involving the lead changing hands eight times and the outcome being undecided until the final whistle, it wasn’t the prettiest of affairs, as relentless defenders either spoiled or got pinged for trying too hard to upset the other side’s attempts to play attractive attacking rugby. There were also a few quality issues surrounding set-pieces.…

Valke ambition gets a Craven Week cold shoulder
With 13 of the power EG Jansen team in their squad of 22, it’s reasonable to expect the Valke to be a handful for any top provincial under-18 team they come up against this season. Their Craven Week schedule may however not do them justice. …

Queen’s beats Kingswood 43-35 – match report
Queen’s College hosted Kingswood College, from Grahamstown, at The Recreation Ground. The match was played in overcast and windy conditions but this did not hamper the flow of the game as both teams attacked relentlessly for the entire match.
