From SACS: SACS TAKE DOWN BISHOPS TWICE
The South African College High School (SACS) played host to Diocesan College (Bishops) on a cold and rainy morning in Newlands. Despite the conditions the oldest schools derby in South Africa lived up to expectations as a desperate Bishops team threw everything at a gutsy SACS side. A strong North-West wind meant it was a game of two halves, SACS winning the first (8-nil) and Bishops the second (7-6), meaning the hosts won 14-7.…

Not since Grey College in 2010 has the undisputable top ranked school in SA been able to win every single match they played during the season*.…

There was a cup final feel about the Paarl Interskole match which lived up to its hype of being a well-attended and closely contested affair. Paarl Boys High beat Paarl Gymnasium 16 – 10 after a nail-biting closing few minutes.

The South African College High School (SACS) travelled north up the N1 to take on Paarl Boys’ High, who are unbeaten and currently ranked as No. 1 in the country. It was always going to be a big ask and despite throwing everything they had at the hosts the class of the wine farmers and their ability to capitalise on every opportunity meant the hosts won this Inter-schools dress rehearsal 30-11.…

Most of my attempts to have a friendly dig at WP SBR supporters following the KZN under-16’s impressive come from behind 19-17 win against WP at Grant Khomo Week 2015 have been taken very well and not necessarily because these folks are great sports either. There is something more at play here.…
