On Tuesday 29 September 2015, a squad of 23 youngsters drawn from 43 teams participating at the 2015 Tony Stoops Rugby Festival will leave Cape Town for a three match tour of Ireland.
The most heartwarming aspect of the squad is that, as is the case with the Best of the Fest team, the criteria for selection did not include the players forming an elite group. They are individuals selected to take the TSRF organizers’ “Everybody’s welcome at our festival” outlook to a whole new level.
The following squad will be managed by very popular figure in local schools rugby and currently Sports Organizer at Tygerberg Stokkies Truter and coached by another local legend, Kuyper Albertyn of De Kuilen. Louis van Straaten of Tygerberg will travel as a third team official.
