    @Kattes-Strofes:

It was pathetic! Being robbed twice against the old foe at the same tournament hurt a lot!

A bit off the subject. What about the poor refs. display against our Blitzbokke. They all seem to look for anything that they can nail us. Bitter ‘sad’!!

Mense!! It is almost time!

I also know that Stokkies Truter is now the new rugby organiser at Brackenfell. I wonder if the annual Tony Stoops Rugby Festival will now also move to the latter, as Stokkies is the main organiser of that event.

Spoke to Corne Kannemeyer, head coach of Brackenfell. Although not yet amongst the ‘super’ schools league, he is quietly confident that his team will be competitive against most of their regular opponents. They have some tough fixtures, which includes the like of Paarl Gim.

Of besluit hulle weer later, soos verlede jaar?

@PaarlBok: Oops! I didn’t have that one example in mind when I posted. Mine was a response to you 1700 figure. I was thinking along the lines of where the hundreds that get turned away because the demand for Gr.8 places at several top schools exceeds the supply, eventually end up.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some sort of stat that shows where kids that don’t get accepted by oversubscribed high schools typically end up.

@BOG: I think the teams playing Garsies this year would think they are playing against boys on roller skates, that backline is going to be lightning.

I believe with the tarring of one of Garsfonteins rugby fields, they are introducing a new dimension to the game-Roller rugby. Rugby on roller skates, like roller hockey, which I saw in Mozambique for the first time. Could be very funny, certainly entertaining. And that is where Spears involvement comes into the picture
