As usual nothing is set in stone. Everyone is welcome to add their views on what needs to be done to keep the quality of comments good without being rigid.…

This year’s 1st XV senior group has achieved really good results coming up through the age-groups.…
Schoolboy rugby players don’t often get sent to the bin but when they do this sort of thing happens a lot: someone in the crowd turns to you or the guy sitting near you and asks how long the player has to stay in the bin. The finalisation of the Grey College fixture list for 2015 is being delayed because the Bloemfontein City League is yet to confirm the local inter-schools matches. The changing of 1st XV personnel every season in some cases amounts to a complete overhaul of first choice players and makes schoolboy rugby a lot more of a challenge when it comes to predicting who will finish up where at the end of the season. So with that in mind there is a quickly put together list of teams that are attracting pre-season attention:…
News out of Durban North is that Northwood has welcomed several new foreigner students to their school. It’s unconfirmed but believed that as many as five boys from the Netherlands and Zimbabwe stand a good chance of being incorporated into their 1st XV rugby squad for 2015, which if all goes well should improve the school’s rugby outlook for this season.…

At Paul Roos, 2015 marks the start of their 150th year of existence. However the first few days of the new school year saw some of their avid adult rugby supporters stopping to focus on a disappointment rather than the celebrations that are set to come at the school. The unhappiness was caused when it was discovered that one of their top sportsmen (rugby and athletics) from last year’s under-15 age-group would not be returning to the school as he had joined rivals Paarl Gymnasium.…

Eldoraigne from Centurion near Pretoria have decided to drop down to the Blue Bulls Region Macro Schools B-section for the Beeld this year. With Centurion High also in the B-section and Affies no longer part of the Beeld, the Blue Bulls A-section is looking very small. Chances are the Eldoraigne move will encourage the remaining A-section Marco schools to press ahead with the formation of a proper Noordvaal premier league. Where this will leave the Beeldtrofee with its rich tradition, remains to be determined.
The Blue Bulls Macro Schools sections now look like this:…
