If Christmas is the season to be jolly, rugby preseason is time for supporters to be optimistic. The actual season doesn’t always work out the way people planned though. In a nutshell organisers are finding it difficult to find a suitable date to fit in with the majority of schools. They haven’t given up though and if they can get most or some of the top schools to agree on a date, the event will go ahead.

Glenwood has added the last piece to the puzzle in their efforts to replace former Head Coach and Director of Rugby Sean Erasmus (now at Paarl Boys High). Last year experienced assistant coach Rudi Dames was promoted to head coach and late last week the KZN school issued a press release confirming that former pro rugby player Shawn van Rensburg had taken over the reigns as Director of Rugby.…
