Tom Dawson-Squibb is also 1st XV squad focused, but will be working hard with all coaches and various other teams to improve their effectiveness in getting the players and themselves mentally prepared for their matches.

We wish them huge success in getting ‘Bishops Rugby’ up and running again!

@Grasshopper: Same rules apply to the Boland Schools!…Strand is just 20 minutes away..closer than Campsbay and Clifton is to Newlands and Rondebosch!..

@Grasshopper: So you reckon the talent is not spread amongst Paarl Boys, Paarl Gim, Paul Roos and Boland Landbou?..All within a 30km radius?…Then you still have all the tradional Northern Subs schools like Bellville, Tygerberg, Stellenberg, DF Malan etc etc…..Look for some other excuse for the Southern Subs bad record against the Boland schools!

@Tarpeys: agreed Tarpeys, having 4 or 5 big boys schools within 15km of each other means the fight to get the best is tough. Bishops will get the best on bursary and the wealthy kids. I think this is the exact reason the Southern Suburb schools don’t have great records against the Paarl schools, talent is spread across Bishops, SACS, Rondebosch, Wynberg, Westerford, Reddam and others. The beach is also a huge distraction. Good luck to Bishops they have a great coaching team there. Wasn’t Jake White’s boy the captain there?
