Punching above weight is really a court of public opinion term as its too difficult to obtain the data on rugby budget.
I think Gim gets the nod for sure.
Always feels like they get the right Gr.8 intake and their rugby structures are first class.

It would be extremely interesting to know how many bursuries/subidies/discounts per year the average top 20 school gives per year. I have heard (rumours?) of schools giving more than 60 per u14 intake, specifically for rugby…

Well, I don’t know if bursaries were a thing 30, 40, 50 years ago. Just look at their entire history – and particularly also in competition with your school – and the point is still made.

You cannot claim to punch above your weight if you offer 20 + full bursaries per year , you just spend a lot of money.
Gim’s u/14A’s and u/16A’s both no.1 contenders for 2024. As a Co-ed they really punch far above their weight.

Grey lost by 30 to PRG and to team ranked 13th. Gim lost by 2 to Grey and 6 to PRG. What you believe has no impact on the rankings. It is the formula that is used by various rankings. And that formula makes no mention of home games from what I see?
Paarl Gim lost twice at home. They lost to Grey. I believe it is fair that Grey are placed 2nd and Gim 3rd. This year the top four were in a complete different leage than any of the other. A team with 10 losses out of 19 and still be in the top 20 confirms that. Oakdale better than ranked 15th.

Gim sou in alle waarskynlikheid ook op hierdie ranglys tweede geëindig het (soos op die NextGenxv, SBR en RatelR ranglyste) as die wedstryd teen Bishops nie gekanselleer was nie.
Vir my baie vreemd dat GCB bo Gim eindig. Ek voel die formule van SBR Blog lui tot die meer realistiese uitkoms.

Wow!Baie geluk Garsfontein.Die rankings gaan weer baie kritiek kry maar voor jy hier post,gaan studeer die formule en vat dit aan nie die uitslae nie.As jy die tyd vat en dit actually studeer sal jy sien dat die data nie gemanupileer kan word nie.Hierdie ranking het die tyd deur staan en dis die een waar die seuns,ouers,scouts,afrigters en supporters gaan om n seisoen te evalueer.Baie geluk aan PRG om as 1 af te sluit.

No problem with nr 1-4 but seriously feel there is a lack of common sense from 5-10.
DHS at nr 5 does not make any sense. Northwood their only win against the Top 10 schools.
