Affies can’t afford to take the Wildeklawer Invitation team lightly

After what happened against SACS earlier this month, Affies probably won’t be underestimating any other team they come up against this season. However that said the Wildeklawer Invitation team, Affies’ match-day one oppnents, have over the years been a walk over for any powerhouse school that took them on at the Skouspel. Well this might be a little different depending on the composition of the team which will consist of Jim Fouche, Duineveld and Grey Cherries. The first two schools don’t really grab attention but the Grey Cherries who are Grey College’s under-19B team certainly do.

    @BOG: Soos jy weet is die verskil tussen die groot skole se eerste en tweede spanne nie so groot nie. Die Cherries kan enige tyd vir selfs Grey se eerstes ‘n “go” gee op enige gegewe dag, net soos die Groen Tiere vir die Wit Bulle kan gee.

    Ek dink die feit dat die drie skole ‘n gekombineerde span moet bymekaar sit in die week voor die wedstryde teen SARU se span gaan tel.

    Will be interesting to see the composition of the team. From what I hear, JF is not too strong this year and were beaten by the Cherries quite comfortably last weekend. Duineveld is an unknown quantity. BUT, in the event of them beating Affies, the comments to follow, would be something to look forward to. :mrgreen:
