Menlopark retained their Coke-Reeks title recently by beating Marais Viljoen 29-0 in the final.
The Coke-Reeks is a regional Noordvaal tourament organised by UJ. It starts after the conclusion of the regular school rugby season. Making it unique is that matrics are excluded from teams. So it’s essentially a Stayers tournament but due to it’s timing it also excludes many athletes and cricketers who in some instances are value adders. As a result it’s difficult to read too much into the results as indicators of what will transpire in 2015.
