Colt Club Rugby Results & Logs – 05/08/2012

There are no club games this weekend due to the “long weekend”.  The games at Harlequins last week went pretty much according to predictions, with Varsity College the only club to record a clean sweep in all their games. Collegians beat Hillcrest 26 – 17 in the featured U13 game, but it was a very even contest and could have gone either way. In the U15A games, Collegians and Varsity College were dominant with Collegians beating Harlequins 47 – 7.  Varsity College were in devastating form, outscoring Rovers by 9 tries to 1.

The U16 games saw Amanzimtoti and Collegians scoring good wins while, despite having the game shortened by 20 minutes, Varsity College outscored Pinetown by 7 tries to 1.  The U18 games saw Collegians and Ballito B recording good wins, while Crusaders overcame Amanzimtoti 24 – 10 in a very scrappy affair.  The game of the day was between Ballito and Harlequins and it lived up to its promise.  There was some incredible tackles and brilliant handling, but the cohesion of the Harlequins outfit told in the end with the score ending 17 – 7 in Harlequins favour.
