Sharks to get a brand new Kankowski in 2015

With Ryan Kankowski (St Andrew’s) pretty much in the twilight years of his Sharks career, it will be exciting for Black and White supporters to welcome a new “Kanko” into their midst. Big Boland hooker Erich Kankowski of Piketburg High from impressed so much during a local Western Cape tournament held before Easter that he has earned himself a contract with the Durban based rugby union and will join them in 2015. Sadly Erich Kankowski had to withdraw from Craven Week due to injury. Interestingly his school teammate, tall lock Christie van der Merwe also stood out at the same Cape rugby festival and will also be heading to Durban in 2015.
