Noordvaal Cup competition – restructuring proposals

There are no changes to the league structures for the 2025 season.

PROPOSALS FOR 2026 and 2027

1. Reduce the Noordvaal Cup Premier League from 10 to 9 to 8 schools over two seasons starting in 2026.
2. Increase the Bowl League to 12 schools split into two groups starting in 2026.
3. In line with their objective to grow the game of rugby, more points rewards for schools that field more teams.
Unfortunately the vicious circle is that more teams normally translates to higher travel costs. Higher costs is a constraint the NVSRV chairman mentions as part of the restructuring brief.
