Haha! Well Belgium just beat Portugal who were the underdog side of the WC, good players lost in poor national teams. Tommo Allan one of those…,
A very significant number if Bishops and SACS etc boys represented SA even before there was a SA and cannot be included here. Moreover , it was almost impossible for pupils of Afrikaans schools to make SA rugby and cricket at that time,
Wow – if you want to become a Springbok rugby player, go to school in Cape Town or Paarl!
@Roger (Comment #3)
I misread the requirement being SA Schools players who went on to represent other countries which is quite an exclusive list as opposed to player from schools in SA who have gone onto play intl rugby. The latter paves the way for Hopper to intro his Hungarian test player etc. 😀

too many – Dan Vickerman, Rhys Thomas, Hal Luscombe, Mike Catt, Brad Barritt, Matt Stephens, Paul Willemse, Scott Spedding, Pieter De Villiers, Rory Kockott, Allan Dell, Sebastian Negri, Roland de Marigny, WP Nel, Ollie Kebble, Kyle Steyn, David Ribbans, Jean Kleyn, Dion O’Cuinneagan – that’s just touching the surface !!
