Damian Marcus maak ‘n groot verskil daar.

Jy kan sien Sean Erasmus is terug by HJS. Basiese dinge het hulle goed gedoen.

@Wondermaar: In the big games its easier said than done but I hope Affies can create some designs to get the ball into the hands of their 13 with a little room to work in. I know he made one regrettable in the PRG game but he comes across as a giftige player. Did ever so well against Diamandveld and when the game was there to be won against Helpies, he effectively set up the winning try, on a day when Affies did not produce enough opportunities to go wide.

I thought the Paul Roos scrum went very well.

SBR has lots of penalties and lots of lineouts. Its been a season so far where lineout work has left lots of room for improvement. Affies no exception esp when they go long. Paul Roos looked decent in this dept as well. No one really wants to rate this years Maroon team but if they manage their setwork, it is going to provide useful ball supply and help grow the confidence in the camp.

1ste span.

They are from Humansdorp, which is an hour west of Gqeberha, quite near St Francis Bay. Nico Malan play the other E Cape schools like Daniel Pienaar, Brandwag, Framesby, St Andrews, Kingswood, Graeme, Muir, etc.

I think it was also noted that Selborne were over eager at the rucks and conceded frustrating penalties, so self discipline and improved technique also high on the agenda

@Palma: This has the potential to be a really good match. I think coach Chase Morison will want better breakdown ball security, a lot more carry metres from his pack and cleaner quicker ball to the wings esp that national sprinter they have. Michaelhouse has a few spells of good continuity against Glenwood and their D was generally very good, so perhaps coach Grant Ball places emphasis on upping the tempo to destabilise the Selborne D. Also better lineout setpieces for both would go quite a way to upping the quality and point scoring chances.

The Graeme 10 Oerson had quite a game against Selborne. His kicking out of hand was very good. I’m sure Selborne will be relieved that House don’t seem to have the same threat in their arsenal.

Interesting seeing Selborne playing Michaelhouse this weekend. Selborne going to have to be a lot better than they were against Graeme if they want to have a chance.
