Just wondering if anyone on the site has ever seen a faster backline in SBR than the one fielded by Grey College against Paarl Gim recently. If I am correct the two centres were the 1st team wingers from last year, the fly half has some serious toe and the back three are incredibly dynamic and lethal. I saw Paarl Gim in the flesh against Oakdale and thought very few teams could live with their pace but Grey were another level. Goes to show size isn’t everything!

@Rugbyman: Het gaan loer, jy is reg.

Die outjie is so sterk soos ‘n bees, tipies Piet Bester / Frans Erasmus.

@Vyfster: Yeah the Noord-Kaap fullback was really good at KERF. The Diamandveld no15 didn’t seem bad either so could be an interesting battle for the CW starting spot, although I’m sure the one losing out will just shift to wing.

    Only saw last 3 games….
I think Farmer had a great game for HJS on the wing, as did Meadon at 10, Affies eight man Oosthuysen was outstanding and I enjoyed Noord Kaap’s n15
All those players were influential in determining outcome of their games…..lots of other talented players on show, hopefully I can watch more games on Saturday
Obviously the Grey/ Gimmies game not to be missed….but some great other match ups awaits!

Certainly today’s performance must have come close to being one of the top performances delivered by any school 1st XV ever.
