@Tjoppa: Agree. Apart from Tyler Fischer, that may have been the biggest surprise of all. Don’t understand why he was not moved to his old position, with possibility to stand in for hooker if need be.

@BoishaaiPa: Both hookers are white. What do you mean by political interference?

@rugbyfan: Aidon Davis, not a bad player at all, think Plank is not at his best yet after that horrific injury, but must be tough for Plank and Tyler to accept missing out of national junior representation, much bigger things await in the future, they just need to keep their feet on the ground and keep their heads up

Johan Meyer must be a bit unlucky seen him play in some of the Vodacom Cup games must be one of the best young No8 i have seen for along time then again they only picked 1 No 8 so maybe he would not have helped the quota system just have a look in 5 years from now who the better No 8 out of him and Davids is and your question will be answered.

    Polictical for sure.

@Slam: I may be wrong but Marx according to me too big for hooker taking the size of the props. He must revert back to loosies where he used to play but apparently moved to hooker after Bulls advice?

@Bog: I can only say Amen to your explanation. @Woltrui: The only thing negative about the truth is the person(s) questioning it.

@BoishaaiPa: Smacks of political interference? Are you really surprized? Yet again, it confirms what I said or tried to say the other day. That is one half of it. Now watch the attrition rate over the next 2-3 years. Neethling Fouche actually captained the one match in Argentina- from hero to zero? And now there are one or two passengers , just in that position. But he is naturally talented, Im sure, like others who were overlooked, they will emerge in a few years from now to leave egg in the faces of those who are responsible. The only problem is that like cowards normally do, they remain faceless and unknown.

@beet: What about Johan ‘Plank’ Meyer? Surely he can be included in the Came Close bucket?

@BoishaaiPa: And it’s typical Theron as well. Untested players in at the last minute, this after all the camps and games to prepare.

My genugtig Bog. Moeilike oesjaar?

What is suprising is that 2 of the hookers who were picked havent played any trial matches, or wasnt even part of any of the camps and havent even played any games with the team yet, but they get picked ahead of players that received praize from the coach during the recent Argie tour ! This smacks of political interference!
