SA u17 Sevens Extended Squad 2026

SA Rugby is pleased to advise that 30 players have been selected as members of – Dakar the South African Boys’ U17 Sevens Extended Squad as part of the preparation programme for the Summer Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from 31 October to 13 November 2026. The Rugby Sevens competition itself takes place from 1 to 3 November 2026. Following a comprehensive talent identification and selection process conducted throughout the season, a squad of 30 players has been identified. This extended squad will participate in the final selection phase, from which the official tournament squad of 12 players will be selected.
