    @coach: The 1st team will be at Kearsney. The U16 and U14 teams will be at festivals in the Cape. Why it is being hosted at Glenwood with only their U15 team there – who knows. I know that festivals there are always well organised, the facilities are great, the school is well known for it’s hospitality and they have the boarding facilities for the visiting teams.

    @GreenBlooded:
    Am sure Greenblooded can find a few referees. Can anyone explain as to why Glenwood not playing in a festival they are hosting, other than their Under 15 Group, or is this essentially another marketing/recruitment campaign?

    Yeah definitely. The game is sooo much better without 15 parents assisting the coach and thinking they know better

    @Horsie, excellent article that. I couldn’t agree more. I know us passionate supporters sometimes get a little emotional and too involved in these blogs. We should sometimes step back and say what is this all about? It’s about the boys and the gees, take a chill pill and enjoy the rugga..

    @HORSEFLY NO.1: No, Hudson Park looked like they had 16 year-olds, not Menlo.

    DHS 67 KZN Development 8.
    Good workout for the boys.
    @star
    Yeah they were at the bottom of the U15 rankings last year, don’t know what’s happened. Maybe someone who knows the team can check out the team list here for some new names: http://www.kearsney.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=59
    @Gungets Tuft:
    Don’t know hey, Koekemoer didn’t play today though as per team sheets. NW team wasn’t too great last year at seasons end though. Eg they played DHS twice, 1st time(March) they smashed us 29-0. 2nd time(May) they only scraped a win by about 2 points$
    @Vleis:
    Hilton didn’t have the greatest team though, also someone said it looked as if it were the same Menlo guys who played the U16 matches that played vs Hilton??

    @HORSEFLY NO.1:

    Yep, my son’s team played both of those sides last year and it was not pretty – losing by 45 (or 52) to 0 against Menlo….and by 25 to 0 against Helpmekaar. That said, they played against Helpmekaar with five B team and three C team players as their season had been over for three weeks, but Helpmekaar needed a tune up game before their Lions Beeld trophy final the following week.

    If I remember correctly, Menlo u14 beat Hilton u14 by 80 to 0 last year.

    1. Eish that’s unbeleiveable. Helpmekaar had a really good team at Parktown U14 last year and were the best team alongside DHS and Jeppe. We will have to see what happens at Bizsport.

    2. Yah the DHS boys are of the right age.they are just really talented boys making an excellent team…

    @HORSEFLY NO.1: Hello Horsefly.

    A few comments/queries from me.

    1. Believe it or not, the Helpmekaar u14 team of last year (u15 this year) lost by some 45 to 5 against Menlo Park’s u14 team.
    2. Are you confident that the entire DHS u14 team of last year were all the correct age – i.e. none were too old? I ask because there was a huge debacle in Natal re overage players last year. An investigation was done, but as far as I am aware, it was only at the 1st team level…so what about the u14, u15 and u16?

    @ Greenblooded- the question is actually whether you are a serious SBR supporter or not. Simple really. :lol:

    @Woltrui: Not sure – I think the quality of the sides at KERF is going to be better. What a pity these 2 festivals were not co-ordinated so we could see all 6 days. Is it worth getting divorced for – that is the question……..

    DHS U15A will have an extremely tough game vs Helpmekaar whom have a GREAT U15A team. When they played an unofficial game in Joburg DHS lost so its tough!
    Looking forward to this though.

    @Woltrui: Histories is KP gewis nie ‘n span om te onderskat nie, maar soortgelyk lyk Tygerberg weer hierdie jaar gedug met ‘n kern talentvolle spelers van 2012 en ‘n aanwins of twee. Ek is geen aanhanger van Tygerberg nie, maar dink hulle gaan vanjaar ‘n paar hokke skud, insluitend die van KP.

    @GreenBlooded: If you stay at Kearsney it will be like looking at a VW golf. If you want to see the real sportscars, hop over to Maritzburg College. :mrgreen:

    @Ploegskaar: Ploeg in die lig van Noord Suid wedywering, wat van ‘n weddenskap op die Kempies/Tygerberg wedstryd (self nie seker hoe lyk die Kempie span die jaar nie-sit egter altyd my hard verdiende geldjies op die Noordelike span. Harder Bulletjies as die Kapenaars)
    Kempies met 10 8)

    Expect Tygerberg to fly the flag for the Cape reps at this festival. Although Stellenberg have some quality gr. 11’s in the first team, they may be out of their depth with some tough games at this festival, but this is the only way to prepare for a daunting season in which they requested games against HTS Drostdy, Boland Landbou, SACS, Rondebosch, Hugenote Wellington and Paarl Gym. For the KZN guys that may watch a game at this festival, keep an eye open for fullback Tiaan Swanepoel (WP GK 2012).

    Great to see Ithembelihle participating in a national festival.Their rugby has grown in leaps and bounds over the last decade, and this bodes well for their future.

    I would love to know where all the referees are going to come from for all of this. With Kearsney, Skonk Nicholson and now this on at the same time we are going to be stretched beyond breaking point.
