  1. I think by now we all know that ALL schools source Players and only some ‘dont’. So lets move one. Loftus evening the 1st big rugby in the Noordvaal. So lets focus our energy on right place.
Main games for the night imo:
Game 4. Kempton park vs Jeppe. Both teams did not do well in 2017. This year I do not think it will go much better. I think Jeppe will win by a small margin
Game 5. Oos Moot vs Witteberg. Oos Moot is up and coming and Voortrekker the power house from Eastern Freestate. Once again very evenly matched but Oos Moot to win
Game 7. EG vs Frikkie Meyer. Should be a walk in the park for EG
Game 8. PTA BH vs Diamantveld. The battle of the brothers. Diamantveld should win this one.
Game 9. Waterkloof vs Transvalia. This should be one of the most important games on the day. Transvalia is labelled the ‘giant slayers’ this year and with the season that lies ahead for WK they need to won this one to build confidence.

  2. Game 10. Monnas vs Welom Gim. Monnas to win comfortable.
Game 11. Garsies vs Voortrekker. As above. Easy win for Garsies.
Game 12. Affies vs HTS Middelburg. Easy win for Affies
Game 13. Menlo vs Boland Landbou. Strengh vs strenght. Menlo hype of this year will be tested with the as usaul physical onslaught from Boland. Boland can get the upset victory but on pre season hype Menlo is the favourites.

  3. @Grizzly: On current hype Menlo for the win if their juniors go strp it up to seniors. If not then the physical onslaught upfront from Boland with their pace at the back will give them the game. My money on the day will be on Landbou

  4. I think Menlo have their work cut out against a always worthy Boland.
In this case as a known Boland supporter of the blog use to say.
Skraal forwards and slow back   can always make it a difficult start for the men from pretoria.
The boys from Menlo has a good history but thats just history.
Their selection comes from two groups who both had a good track reaching finals through age group stages so one would think they up the anti against Boland.

  5. I suppose the team with best defence will come out trumps.
Nevertheless it will be a cracker so early in season.

  6. This is an early year festival. Teams are allowed larger match day squads, rolling substitutions and no kicks at goal.
I would not read to much in the outcome. Great opportunity for the boys to play at Loftus and for the couches to test combinations.
    Go Menlo!!!
