The Wesgrow Sentrale Sportreeks format changed for the 2023 edition of the competition. Previously the co-ed schools tournament consisted of two groups of four schools each, that led to playoffs and a final. From 2023 it is a plain round robin tournament in which each of the schools play the other seven school. The winner is determined by the school with the most points after the conclusion of the last round of fixtures on 29 July 2023.
It’s still early days but the race for the 1stXV title looks very interesting.
Trio of Kroonstad proved their quality against Grey College in a friendly at the start of the season to suggest they were the team to beat. However since then Jim Fouche of Bloemfontein has really stepped up and might just be the favourites now. The likes of current table toppers Witteberg of Bethlehem, Fichardtpark of Bloemfontein and Goudveld of Welkom all look like they will have their bit to say in where the 2023 title finally ends up.

@Kaya 85: Like Grey, they became too strong for the rest. Will play friendlies against some teams, but prefer to play other schools as well. They are supposed to play in the Griffons competition later on.
