Tjampions League – 25 May 2013

@Beet: This ranking makes the most sense of all as the methodology used resembles closely resembles that scientists use.
As for Menlo, I have been and still is a great fan of their rugby. They almost are right up there. Having the former Monnas deputy principal as new principal and a former Monnas coach as director of rugby, coupled with hostel facilities to house a few Monnas players, their rugby is and will be picking up. They always have formidable u.14 and u.15 teams as they recruit monsters in grade 8. They also delivered a number of Springboks. Can remember Rudolf Straeuli and Jacques Olivier, the latter only playing second team in matric. This year they already beat KES, Helpmekaar, Centurion and Eldoraigne – comfortably I might add. They should end 3rd in the Pretoria region of the Beeld trophy and thus qualify for the play offs.

@beet: Beet dit is n goeie vraag. Weet in die verlede het die skool wie se eerste rugby span laaste geindig het uitgespeel teen n sg uitdager. Dink Menlo sal goed doen in Nu power. Nie noodwendig hul rugby spanne. Menlo se meisies hokkie spanne is van die sterkste in die NV. Sal interesant wees om huidige kriteria te hoor.

@Rugbyman: the Menlo results will be backdated to include amongst others their Garsies game.

Why is Menlo not in the NuPower proper tho?

@Rugbyman: Yes. Menlopark were not on the original list of 38 teams but after they beat St Albans quite convincingly a few weeks back they do merit inclusion in the TL which I’m hoping to expand next week as well as squeeze Menlo into the already congested Noordvaal Regional table.

Menlopark is definitely not a bad team/school by any stretch of the imagination… Listed in the top 30 on most sites

Beet, I see that you didnt take into account Garsfontein vs Menlopark result of the past weekend. Any reason for that?
