Brackenfell 29 Wynberg 38 – match feedback 2018

Visitors Wynberg dominated the 1st half. Their forwards laying a solid foundation with some excellent work in the set pieces and general play. Their powerful driving play, especially from lineouts, bagged them a handful of tries.

In the latter stages of the 1st half, Wynberg scored two tries after Brakkies were reduced to 14 men, due to a yellow card.

At one stage Wynberg lead by 38-3. It appeared that a huge hiding was on the cards.

However, after the break, Brakkies came back strongly. The home team’s forwards starting to show parity in the exchanges up front, which gained them quality possession for their hard running backs.

Towards the end of the match, the visitors had to hang on for dear life as Brakkies found their mojo, scoring some great tries with some crisp handling, and pace on the outside.
