    Beet Abner is home in Paarl HJS. So that will be HJS and WP not Garsies and Bulls.

    Austin Davids (49 on list) from Garsfontein signed a contract with Lions and not Bulls in 2017.

    @odie15: We have some decent young coaches in the school & school provincial set-up & a couple of dedicated & diligent guys involved in the Jnr pro & HP system, but that’s about it

    @Playa: Well meaning and innovative are not traits that I look for on a coaching CV, often just euphemisms for inexperienced and for the most part directionless. Apart from the administration which is rudderless, gutless & clueless, I attribute a large portion of the problems in WP to the fact that the current coaching staff & vogue players have a distinct Southern flavour. Add in a liberal sprinkling of players that hail from so-called smaller schools like Ermelo, Montague and Milnerton and you have a recipe for a monumental stuff up. The general lack of balls and commitment on field is a reflection on the overblown pussies in the coaches boxes, a habit of never performing on the big stage and a mental block from most getting their heads stuffed up their butts for 5 years at school

    @odie15: I beg to differ.There’s a lot of well meaning and innovative coaches…the management is the poison.The rot in management defeats science…it goes from the tail to the head.

    @Ploegskaar: the coaching staff @ all levels in WP is poison….the management @ Newlands is toxic waste that consumes money and is clueless. There’s no way you can keep all talent. But keeping key players and building with good coaching is issue. The same with SA schools players who progress to JWC. We see that on talent alone they compete against and beat a English team that’s been together a year after a mere week together as a unit.

Hierdie uitslae staaf dus my punt, uiteindelik.

    Van die plaaslike gekontrakteerde spelers, wat nie naastenby die beste in die provinsie is nie, beland vroeg in sisteem en dan word daar buig of bars met hulle volhard van Grant Khomo tot Craven Week en noodgedwonge ‘n WPRI kontrak. Van 100Kg dwergstutte en hakers wat nog nooit fiks was of basics kon doen nie, tot senters wat nog nooit kon verdedig nie en vleuels wat nie ‘n hoë-bal kan vang of met die bal onder die regte arm hardloop nie. Ons praat hier van basics.

    Dan het ek ook ‘n teorie dat indien ‘n groot gros van die gekontrakteerdes van skole in die WP streek is wat vir vyf jaar hul kop in hul gat gekry het van skole in ‘n ander streek, gaan jy bars. En dit kon ons duidelik op CC en SR vlak die jaar sien, waar daar baie show ponies maar weinig met knaters was (veral in die pak).

    @Ploegskaar. Ek is meer onsteld met WP as wat ek bly is met die Leeus! 2014 het WP die titel met die 0/19 span gewen.Toe kom daar n groot afrigtersverandering in 2015 en WP 0/19 verloor in semi-finaal teen die Bulle.Gister verloor hulle in die finaal en in 2017 is dieselfde afrigters in hul finale jaar van hul 3 jaar kontrakte.Hierdie afrigters is aan gestel einde 2014 deur die WP Executive Komitee .Laat mens dink nê !!

    @Muzi does not matter anymore who goes where. After yesterday the Lions showed they can develop players that can beat any team with names !!The only difference is that in 2017 the Lions will have a lot of the big names coming to play for them in the u/19 Currie Cup competition !

    @Cappie:

    Ruan is ‘n “all rounder” kolf op 4 of 5 en is ‘n aflos bouler(medium pace).

    Hy was ook die kaptein van die Affie 1e krieketspan wat onoorwonne was sover die seisoen. Hy het verlede jaar vir die SA Colts o/19 span gespeel en was uitgenooi na ‘n oefenkamp in 2016 wat hy nie bygewoon het nie.

    Klaar ‘n keuse gemaak deur ‘n kontrak met die BB te teken.
