so good to see today the real winners come through and not a few exco members manipulation on logs and field work, hey you might even see VC lose a game that they won for playing illegal players
    what a day

@beet: And similairly the IPT is a week long provincial tournament with a final for each age group on the last day – those boys work incredibly hard to earn the gold on the Saturday.

Coaching teams need to be very aware of rotating their players through the week to ensure they contest the final with the strongest team possible on the Saturday.

@Pedantic: It’s part of the uniqueness of club rugby. KZN school rugby doesn’t have a cup knockout style format so school kids can only experience the changed approach and emotions that go hand in hand with KO matches by playing club.

What’s good about this season is that in every single age group it’s too tough to call who the final winner will be with the exception of possibly the Under 16’s where Collegians look very strong but could still get a surprise from Varsity College on the day.

@GreenBlooded: hey you can fiddle the numbers to suit and make it look good, VC still needs to beat Hilcrest, so take it to the field and just clean them up , that wont be to hard

2 bonus points are 2 bonus points whichever way you look at it. Someone’s spreadsheet has a bug!

@GreenBlooded: It does look odd but I can only think that Varsity College they picked up a losing bonus point along the way and Hillcrest did not.

U13A log doesn’t make sense. VC cannot have 11 pts from 2 wins and 2 bonus points – that makes 10. They are therefore tie with Hillcrest on pts and Hillcrest must be second because of higher points difference.
