Wildeklawer 2018 – teams

The core teams have been retained for the annual Wildeklawer 2018 (probably on Sat 28 and Mon 30 April). Changes see HTS Middelburg and Garsfontein exit while Drostdy and Menlopark are back in.

There’s still the excitement of the finalised fixture list to come. In most parts 2018 fixtures including the St John’s Festival fixtures haven’t been finalised yet so based on info available here’s an idea of many of the clashes (crosses highlighted in red) that the Wildeklawer organisers will have to sidestep when they produce their own fixture list.

Honours award for St Andrew’s 29-try record breaking centre

From St Andrew’s College:

Matt More has represented the St Andrew’s College 1st XV on 43 occasions. In this time he has scored a staggering 45 tries including the all-time record of 29 tries in a season in 2017. He also kicked for goal when required and has managed to accumulate a total of 326 points over the course of his time playing for College.

New look Craven Week for 2018

Paarl Boys’ High who will be turning 150 years old in 2018 will host the Craven Week and Academy Week in 2018 from 08-14 July 2018.

The really big news is that the Blue Bulls, Golden Lions and Western Province will field invitational teams in addition to their regular Craven Week teams in 2018.…

Hi everyone

Apologies from my side for all the website breakdowns incurred of late. It has been very frustrating.

The website has now been moved to a server which hopefully will provide a lot more stability and security.

In the transfer process about 2 weeks worth of comments have sadly been lost for good. There were some really meaningful ones in there as well so this isn’t great news.

Boland Landbou to play Garsfontein on St Patrick’s Day

Good news from the Farm outside Paarl, Western Cape is that Boland Landbou has invited Garsfontein from Pretoria to play them in the 70-minute main game at the annual Boland Landbou Festival on Saturday 17 March 2018 (which also happens to be St Patrick’s Day).

Fixtures are in the process of being finalised and details will be available shortly.…
