funny game this – Westville seconds beat Greytown by similar margin to MC – then MC go and beat westvill3 1st . Guess it shows that the coaches are still experimenting with the teams in these early games . Looking forward to a bumper season

In their first outing of the season,Kearsney came away with a very impressive victory against a game Voortrekker side who were a little out of their depth. The score could have been higher had the ref not been so pedantic in his interpretation of the laws in the second half.

The first half was solid with kearsney turning around 22-3 up through 4 well taken tries. The second half a bit stop start but they extended their lead and at the final whistle were well clear. This is a good base that they take into their short tour of Vryheid and can be well pleased with how the boy’s gelled.

This will be the first viewing of Kearsney with their new look team. Only 2 regulars back from the very successful 2013 side so they will be under pressure to produce the goods. It is only 20 minutes each way but very exciting stuff with Voortrekker playing like men possesed to show up the more fancied boys from Bothas hill
