    @Redblack White: @QC86:
    The bos tried hard against a much better QC team.It could have been worse if it wasn’t for their spirited defence. The Queens pack really impressed me.

    The numbers thing represented the randomness with which Cancer attacks, ie it doesn’t choose a number.
    Winnaar move not confirmed yet. We’re fighting hard to keep him.

    I’m impressed to see Dale 2nds drew. Those boys have had a nightmare of a season.

    @Queenian: Its been that way for a while. In fact in ’94/’95 when I was in Dale Junior, we would, at worst lose only 2 matches against Queens. The first time I lost to QC was in Std 8, playing for 5ths.

    @rugbyfan:

    Queens vs Dale 2013 / Queens Senior played 29 Won 19 Drew 4 Lost 6
    Queens Junior played 32 Won 14 Drew 2 Lost 16

    You will see that in the Junior schools Dale had the advantage and in the Senoirs Queens dominates so I think that shows Queens keeps a lot more of the kids than Dale does.

    Not sure about that Nkomo kid Ludz might know.

    Ludz: That 8th man I think Nkomo what grade is he in was really impressed with him.

    @BoishaaiPa: Baie waar, dis met al die sporte so. Moet se dit was amper hartverskeurend om die Stellies se seccies se spelers net na die game oppad terug kleedkamer te sien. Daai manne was plat teen die grond en ek haat om sulke groot seuns so te sien huil. So naby maar tog ook sover.

    Dale didn’t have a good season, but those okes give a 110 percent in the big derbies, they were fired up, that Winaar is a very good player. He cut through the 10-12 channels with ease, that said Simon Bolze who had a heavily strapped ankle was always gonna struggle with the kid, but he held through well.

    Cancer doesn’t have a number apparently, so they decide to play in any random number.

    @Ploegskaar: Die wedstryde na Interskole is sinneloos..Saterdag op Trappespark was ook blykbaar weer tannetrek rugby en gesukkel, maar kon darem die wa deur duer drif trek..Interskole moet altwee spanne se laaste game wees en hulle kan maar die Burger trofee playoffs tussen PRG en Boland Landbou roteer elke jaar..of vir een van die Noordelike voorstede skole gee…Die Paarl skole stel regtig nie meer in rugby belang na Interskole nie!

    @PaarlBok: Ja, die seccies game was ‘n gelykop stryd, met Gim wat hom na die toeter deurgetrek het. Moet sê, die game tussen die 1stes was bitter flou, ek het die oggend eers Bellville/DF se o16a’s gaan kyk en moes dalk eerder maar daar gebly het. Weet na interskole is die seisoen eintlik verby, maar julle manne sal moet beter as hulle Drostdy wil looi Saterdag.

    Skrumskakel Nel was darem weer op sy kop en soos ek voorheen gesê het, weet ek nie hoe hy nie WP CW kon kry nie. Momsen was nie ver agter nie, puik in die lynstane en los, oud-Stellie Luus was lus vir speel en 3 was lekker woelig. 1 en 5 sal egter hulle werkverrigting moet optel.

    @Redblack White: Hahahaha. You are right corncerning the numbers Mr Redblack. At first I thought, yo the number 12 and 13 is a little bit overweight to play centre!! I only later realised the numbers were changed. Thought the big and physical loosies of Queens won the match for them. Nice game to watch though.

    @Playa : tough game on Saturday – I thought Dale looked the part for most of the match.

    Just two things – what was with the weird numbers? At one stage I was saying to my son: “Thats a flippen sharp hooker – that bloke will run rings around most backlines” ok and then it was not the hooker it was the flyhalf wearing no 2?????

    But seriously – I thought the flyhalf – Winnaar is it? – was brilliant – would like to see more of that chap in future – seems to have really sharp ball sense and a keen eye for gaps – very good player indeed.

    @BOG: Geluk Boggie. Grey Bloem maar weer gewys hoekom hulle die top rugby skool in die land is. Om 800km te reis en die tipe uitslae te behaal is nie te versmaai.@Deon: Hou dan op kla en kerm. Klink soos suur druiwe :mrgreen:
    @Rugbyman: Jy laat my dink aan n Vrystaatse ondersteuner, natuurlik woonagtig in Pretoria, met so n helse groot boep. Ek vra hom hoekom steun hy nie die Blou Bulle nie. Nee se hy, Bulle ondersteuners is “common”, almal op Loftus het sulke groot boepense. Alke skool het maar sy nederiges, windgatte, “spanners”, goeies en slegtes. Ek het toevallig tydens die Nu-power wedstryd by van die Garsies ondersteuners gesit. Tipies Afrikaanse mense. Emosies op die skouer. Tipe mense vir wie ek baie lief is. Soms grootmond, soms “spanners” altyd emosioneel tov van hul kinders. Wonderlike mense. Presies dieselfde as Kloof, Affies, Menlo en Woeries ouers.
    @Klofie Pa: Ai Kloofpa. Hoe het julle dit reg gekry. Sport-suur saam die soet. Kloof het egter die jaar net respek verdien vir hulle optrede op en af die veld. Dankie vir jou sportman gees deur die jaar. Nooit gekla en gekerm deur tye waar julle span soms die kortste ent van skeidsregter beslissings ontvang het of julle soms amper met n tweede span moes speel weens beserings. Ek vir een gaan beslis daai no 6 en 7 dophou in die komende jare. :wink:

    @Deon: Ek dink nie jy kan heeltemal onpartydig wees met daai maroen truitjie van jou aan nie…Ek aan die ander kant is heeltemal onpartydig want ek hou ewe min van altwee spanne :mrgreen: …Ek het Saterdag daar in Markotter Suite gesit reg op die punt oor die veld en redelike goeie uitsig gehad. Daai 0/16 drie van Grey is reg onder my neus gedruk en was beslis geplaas alhoewel die bal onmiddelik weer “gehop” het. Die algemene gevoel rondom my was dat sonder ‘n TV ref moet die drie toegeken word want die nodige “downward pressure” was daar. So het elkeen maar sy eie siening van wat gebeur en waar ek dit as n geldige drie sien is dit jou reg om dit te betwyfel. Die feit is egter dat die drie toegeken is!..”Looks at the scoreboard”..soos om Boy Louw sou se!

    @KoosRoos. Dan mag dit wees dat my oog geslip het. Maar hel ek twyfel, en ek twyfel sterk. Kyk net, eers was die skeidsregter wat vir die onder 16’s geblaas het vlagman. Die vlagman wat die vorentoe aangee uitgewys het was ‘n ander vlagman, of beampte, met ‘n donkerblou baadjie/windbreaker aan. Miskien was dit Elvis Presley. Mooi week. D.

    @Ludz: Agree with you on the Under 16 team have gone from no hopers to a team that fights to the last minute I think some of those boys will do well in the open group.(And I was one of those who thought they would not win 1 game this year.) If Under 15’s can have a injury free 2014 I expect good things from them and under14’s should go from strength to strength.

    @BOG: That win ratio for Grey is really good although as far as I know since 1923 that win ratio is around the 93,80% which shows Grey has always being tops definitely no flash in the pan and I stand to be corrected the only school in SA which can safely say have being good from year 1.

    Great rugby school and most likely the “Greatest Rugby School” of all time.

    @PRondersteuner. Die vlagman het Grey klere/kleure gedra. Onthou, êrens in die proses het die vlagmanne omgeruil. Eers was die onder 16’s se ref die vlagman, en toe ewe skielik dié lang man. Dis egter gedane sake. No use crying over spilt milk het my oorlede Pa altyd gesê. @Koos Roos. Die feite is wat ek voor my eige oge gesien het. Dis nie feite wat ek moes kry nie. Ek is berugd onder die OSU oor my onpartydigheid. Ek gee altyd die ref die voordeel. Ek moan nooit! En ek drink glad nie (genetiese defek in my lewer, anders sou ek) Hy was heeltemal, soos in heeltemal mal. Kyk die replay, oor en oor soveel maal soos jy wil. PRG sou steeds nie gewen het nie, maar flip, volgende keer is dit dalk close, en dan maak dit ‘n verskil. Siende dat ek/ons in dieselfde posisie was, kan ek jou eerlik oortuig die onder 16 speler van Grey kon nie, en het nie die bal geplaas nie. NO GO!!!!

    PRG vs Grey. My gevoel het verander na Saterdag. Nog Affies nog Outenikwa nog Gim is die beste span dié jaar, ongeag enige statistiek. Miskien nie nommer een op die lys, maar my hart en verstand sê : dié beste. Grey sou Saterdag almal van hulle gelyk (maw al 45 spelers) op die veld aangevat het en gewen het. Hulle het net iets anders gehad as vroeër die seisoen. Ek is spyt oor die PRG drie wat nie toegeken is nie. Ek hou nie van die idee dat ‘n skoolseun van Grey vlagman was nie en boonop die ref terugroep en ‘n vorentoe aangee aandui nie. Dit was nie vorentoe nie, ek het reg by die spel gesit. Maar Grey sou nog steeds ver gewen het. PRG se verdediging????? Was daar enige??? Maar steeds trots op julle manne. Die onder 16’s is beroof deur ‘n skeidsregter, wat andersins goed was, toe hy ‘n drie toeken aan Grey waar die “drukker” ooglopend al reeds voor die lyn die bal aangeslaan het. Dit was ‘n bietjie van ‘n skok. Die skeidsregter was nie in posisie om te sien nie, en hy was baie onpartydig, maar flip, waar was daardie berugte vlagman toe? Maar geluk aan die onder 16’s ook, hulle was nou drie jaar, vanaf onder 14 onoorwonne. Ek was die enigste PRG man wat tuisgegaan het in ‘n hotel wat omtrent gevul was met Grey ouers en seuns. Stunning mense, geen egoïsme na die game nie. Mense wat gewoond is aan wen. Wat nice was was die ongelooflike ondersteuning deur die Oranje girls vir PRG op die stands, amper fanaties. Ek het ‘n idee hulle mik Stellenbosch toe agter hul nuwe “vriendskappe” en die verruklike omgewing aan. Puik gedaan Grey, julle bly eintlik maar almal een voor. Trots op julle PRG, en dit help baie dat beide die onder 14’s en onder 15’s ook gewen het. Goeie tye is op pad terug.

    @Djou: Ongelukkig het dit verlede jaar ook gebeur- stadig begin.Ek het gehoop dat hulle hierdie jaar die veld “met n spoed” sou slaan. Miskien het hulle n te groot keuse gehad. Ek dink daar was vd eerstespan spelers aan die begin, wie aan die einde, vir die Peaches(3es) gespeel het. Ek sien dat Immelman wie gister op 15 gespeel en geskitter het, in Gr11 is, maar dat hy volgende jaar O19 sal wees en dus nie vir CW/SA skole in aanmerking sal kom nie. Hou maar gerus vir Louw (7) en Kramer (3) dop oor die volgende paar jaar. Of EW Viljoen tot sy volle reg sal kom, sal afhang vd span en afrigting. In n neutedop, is dit die verskil tussen vanjaar se span en vorige onoorwonne spanne. Die talent was daar, maar te lank geneem voordat dit geblom het. Miskien het n “skerp” oog ontbreek in die afrigtingspan.(??)

    Oor Grey vs PRG, my kop is amper afgebyt toe ek “voorspel” het Grey gaan met 30 wen. En die Greyspan lyk mos heeltemal anders as die ander een wat teen Affies/Outeniqua gespeel het. Nuwe senterpaar, losskakel en heelagter. Skielik vloei en ritme agterlangs.

    @BOG: That’s what I love about the game at this level, make predictions at your peril, (or to support your standing on the log) and that’s why the log makes so little sense. Quality sides are quality sides and a log produces little info of any merit. Grey against Outenique, for 75% of the game, I thought it was Greys, and so easily could have been except for the HUMAN factor. For the first half yesterday there was nothing in it, and then Grey drilled them with very quick ball and extreme pace and support. Such is schoolboy rugby.

    @Playa: sorry avoided going on here today, trying to save battery life.

    Queen’s u14A won 47-10 to end the season with only 2 losses against Selborne in EL and Grey PE.

    Queen’s u15A won 48-13, been an inconsistent season for them, drawing 2 and losing 5 in the process.Unlucky with a lot of injuries though

    Dale u16A won 27-21, so unlucky for Queen’s who were the better side on the day, this side has come very far this season. It’s a pity they never were able to achieve a lot as an age group. Great bunch of boys who have to be my team of the season at Queen’s purely for proving many detractors wrong. I look forward to seeing them over the next 2 years as they go into open rugby.

    1) Tredoux
    2) Ngadi
    3) Van Niekerk
    4) Du Randt
    8) Coetzee
    9) Khanyile
    10) Jonas

    @Grasshopper: AND Jordaan ……

    But, credit where it is due to Glenwood, their backline was arguably the best in KZN this year. When Sparks was given a sliver of daylight he was always away. I would have liked to see Ngwenya and Ncobo in that last match at College to test him for pace, I think the three of them were partly responsible for the sheer pace of the Goldstones classic.

    How many of them back next year?

    @ Rugbyman- dankie:) moet se Klofies se pak voorspelers het vernietigend gelyk eerste 10 minute.Maar Kempies was in ander klas en soos tiere verdedig. Die game kon enige kant toe gegaan het. Kempies het we’ll hele paar strafskoppe gemis maar laaste 1 het getel. En nou is Nelspruit en EG Jansen maandag. Jansen sal on top of their game moet wees. @Greenwood: The actual score on Wednesday was 28-12 to Glenwood.
    Somehow Kearsney and Westville sent their stayers teams to the LIV tournament. Today they will both be at full strength at Glenwood. It is a pity that there are quite a few boys who cannot play due to Soccer commitments.
    Having said that, Glenwood were full value on Wednesday. I would say that they are the favourites for today’s tournament at Glenwood. Lots of pace and good hands.
    I was expecting GC to be better at 7’s, but they are clearly not.
    College, House, St Charles and Westville are pretty good. Pioneer have shown in previous years that they can do very well in this form of the game.

    I hear Glenwood beat our friends from the Highway area sometime earlier this week 31 – 5 in a Sevens game – apparently “Sparks” was on fire and scored most of the points

    Gwd also beat GC 42- zip – Have a feeling that the Glenwood backline would be hard to stop

    @Ploegskaar: Ja DP was self baie, baie gelukkig om Oakdale te wen. Ja dit maak nie saak hoe moeilik dit soms gaan nie maar, n man glo altyd jou span het n kans om te wen. Ons wag ook maar vir die groep om klaar te maak en die O/.16 manne om deur te kom.
    Hopelik lyk DP se rugby weer beter en wen meer as verloor.

    Is ook n jammer dat DP en Boland nie meer teen mekaar speel nie. Het die trip plaas toe geniet. En dan kon ek gou vir my ouers gaan kuier op Malmesbury en weer bederf word en my sakke vol ma se koekies ens pak vir die koshuis.

Die seisoen tot op hede, beserings en kanonvoet Tian Nel wat uit is maak die opdraand nog steiler, maar hulle sal alles gee, en wen of verloor, met trots speel. Ons hou moed, volgende jaar en 2015 is alles weer dooddollies.
