Gungets Tuft wins Superbru Super Rugby

The longest running lucky streak on the SBR blog continues. Jokes. Well done to Gungets Tuft on winning the Superbru Super Rugby compo. Slam made it a College 1-2. They can’t even get that right in F1 these days, so great effort. Here is the full leaderboard.

    @Woltrui: Hahha ou Wollie. Got a lucky break at the start with a few “holes-in-one” which are always arsy at the start of the season, then pace derived from terror of being caught did the rest.

    Truth be told, my Scottish breeding forced me to win it – one of the other pools I played was worth a cuppola South African Ront, nothing like a bit of wonga to drive us Porridge-Wogs to win.

    But, truth be told, this was the pool win that gave me the most pleasure. I respect the rugby knowledge of the okes here and it all came down, literally, to the margin point in the last game. Could feel the hot breath of the chasing pack the whole time …

    Thanks all for the competition, I am retiring myself to stud now :roll: :mrgreen:

    @Woltrui: Hahaha!He must enjoy himself!

    Yeah, the current format is a definite FAIL! I had had enough by May.I support going back to Super 12/14 format of old.Play each other once, semis, final and all is done by May.Tri-Nations (The Championship) must start in June, not August….but you’re right, the Aussies will not have that :lol:

    @Playa: I think Mr Tufts is Awol. Most propably in the Kalahari watching the “stokstertjies” again.
    Agree with you Playa. Superrugby in its current format is boring. Either we must go North or the old format must be brought back(all the teams playing against each other). What is the chances of the Ausies “allowing” that to happen? Maybe we must use American football as an example were a team play maybe 8 games a season. Each game is a huge spectacle.

    Well done Mr Tuft!Geez what a long season.SANZAR really needs to re-look this competition…if Superbru players could run out of steam like this, imagine how the rugby players feel 8-O …at least I made the squad :)

    Those tough as nails Souties from the Westrand obviously learned some rugby in the Gauteng. Hope the dog “mushing over the tundra” the past couple of months get retired in some style now. Looking forward to a winners speech Mr Tufts(hopefully better than the Gropher cup winners speech from Roger).
