While College basketball players in the United State’s NCAA Division 1 gear up for what’s referred to as “March Madness”, a single-elimination tournament played each spring in the US, closer to home, Stellenberg prepares for an SA schoolboy rugby version of popular term when their 2022 season starts with a month chokka block with tough fixtures.

Over the past few years, Stellenberg based in the Cape Town northern suburb of Durbanville, have been working extremely hard to up the standard of their rugby. It is not easy trying to go it without a boarding establishment yet they managed to do an admirable job to date even without that all-important to success ingredient. With one of the most experienced run-on 1st XV’s nationwide set to to take the field in 2022, the Co-ed school is hoping to emulate the rugby successes of the 2017 season.
