St Benedict’s spoil Parktown Boys Old Boy’s Day celebrations – from St Benedict’s
St Benedict’s College 1st XV got their season of to a flying start with a convincing 27-15 win over Parktown Boys 1st XV on their Old Boys’ Day.
Parktown got onto the scoresheet first and it appeared that they were picking up exactly where they ended off last year. St Benedict’s defense from there on proved to be a wall that would be tougher to break with Parktown only seeing the try line twice thereafter.
Tshepo Phogole the talented flyhalf dominated with his boot and ensured St Benedict’s played in the right areas. Tries were scored by Emilio Rodrigues, Ayanda Tomile and Ross Ramos. Tshepo Phogole converted two tries and one penalty.
St Benedict’s controlled the game in all facets and look forward to the rest of the season. The next game is against Queens from JHB which could be a one sided affair but we look forward to keeping an eye on this team.
