This has overshadowed news of the returns of the likes of Pierre Spies, Schalk Burger and Heinrich Brussow for the start of the competition.
One of the local online betting agencies has made the Stormers the early odds on favourites to win the title. Maybe not such a big surprise based on how their young team has performed in recent seasons. The Kings are expected to finish last. Also a surprise is to see the Cheetahs so far behind the Rebels in the odds. Last surprise is the Sharks placed comfortably ahead of the Bulls. One would have expected these two teams to be a lot closer to one another in odds at this stage.
