Congratulations to Paul Roos captain / Western Province flyhalf Damian Willemse who was named as the official Craven Week Player of Year 2016 during the SARU SA Rugby awards ceremony in October 2016. Willemse has been part of Western Province’s u18 Craven Week winning team in 2015 and 2016. He’s represented SA Schools in u18 internationals in both years as well and ended the 2016 rugby season by starting for Western Province u19 in the u19 Currie Cup final. He is a player with huge potential to become a household name both locally and abroad.
@GreenBlooded: In what position?
julle moet seriously board wees ,of ongelooflik ryk wees om oor sulke k@k vooruit te debateer,eish
two grey centres
boeta chamberlain-hjs-if he stays fit
PJ Jacobs will be close, if he is in grade 11…
@Couchmavin: You have your order the wrong way around. A forward has to be absolutely amazing to win the CW POTY.
Lions Lions Lions. Who else?
My cristal ball says one of the following two:
Francke Horn HJS WP Eightman
Muller du Plessis Paarl Gim WP Centre
Guess what province i am punting for a win in 2017??.
@GreenBlooded:
Also here is a trend to keep in mind:
2016 : CW Winner : WP & POTY : WP
2015: CW Winner : WP & POTY : WP
2014: CW Winner : EP & POTY : EP
2013: CW Winner : WP & POTY : WP
2012: CW Winner : Bulls (but also undefeated that year EP) & POTY : EP
2011: CW Winner FS & POTY : FS
2010: CW Winner FS &POTY : FS
So a KZN Sharks CW POTY candidate will probably need his team to play a lot closer to their true potential than the team has in the recent past.
@GreenBlooded: Bold prediction this far out and with so many other u17s already putting their hands up but could have been braver if you’d completed that one field you left out
I’ll record by prediction for 2017 for future reference:
2017 Dylan Richardson Kearsney College KZN
