Congratulations to Paul Roos captain / Western Province flyhalf Damian Willemse who was named as the official Craven Week Player of Year 2016 during the SARU SA Rugby awards ceremony in October 2016. Willemse has been part of Western Province’s u18 Craven Week winning team in 2015 and 2016. He’s represented SA Schools in u18 internationals in both years as well and ended the 2016 rugby season by starting for Western Province u19 in the u19 Currie Cup final. He is a player with huge potential to become a household name both locally and abroad.

    So a KZN Sharks CW POTY candidate will probably need his team to play a lot closer to their true potential than the team has in the recent past.
