Boland Landbou’s tough 2017 fixture list is out

Apart for the always testing West Province Premier League schedule that includes eagerly anticipated inter-schools against Winelands slash national powerhouses HJS Paarl Boy’s High, Paarl Gymnasium and Paul Roos, the farmers from Boland Landbou will also be out to prove themselves against some of the best schools that Gauteng has to offer – they don’t come much bigger or stronger than EG Jansen, Garsfontein or Monument. If that’s not enough, lets not play down the prospect of taking on the Oakdale Bulls in Riversdale and the resistance of some decent opposition from the Eastern Cape either. Forgetting anyone important? How about Grey College as an opponent somewhere in the middle of all that other top class opposition.

25 Maart 2017 gaan ‘n moeilike keuse wees….PRG Rugbydag of Paarl Gim – Affies derby.

@Stier: Not really a break for either, both teams will have players involved at the annual provincial Bondedag on the 16th/17th of June

@odie15: Did you see, they have a two week break before they play HJS? So once again it will be a close one.

@Ploegskaar: extremely interesting season. That schedule is tough. Yes seems the tougher yo become as a school the tougher the schedule. The heart of the season is WK and immediate opposition. The 3rd term seems to be very sparce we see maybe 5 matches max these days. Boishaai has decided to tour NZ in March 2 matches North island 2 in South island I understand. Arrive home and 5 days later at St John’s (Hoppers altitude + long haul flights) then WK against JJWood, followed by Grey following weekend……hmmmmm licking my lips already. April, May and June only for the tough! I believe they thinking of 3 squads/teams to tackle NZ, St John’s and then WK&Grey. But it depends what team is representing school in NZ as money is the main subject for tour and few lower team boys will tour as well.

Landbou will be my 2nd team focus next 2 years with my favourite Gavin Mills now u19…

Dink Selborne College gaan naby kom. Hulle speel spanne soos: Monnas en EG Jansen by KERF, Helpmekaar en HJS Paarl by Wildeklawer, Grey Bloem, Grey PE, Paarl Gim en Boland by Cape Schools (nog nie bevestig), Dale x 2 keer en dan nog die ander gewone wedstryde. Dink daar gaan so 23 wedstryde wees.

Sjoe! Hierdie is omtrent n uitdagende reeks bepalings!
