@Kattes-Strofes: maar dan gaan BH mos ‘n m…se pak forwards he.

Nietemin, jy is reg. Hul Cravenweek span was weer verlede jaar betrokke

Sjoe manne!! Die WP gaan beslis vanjaar n o/19 bulspan in die veld stoot.

Last night I watched a warm up match between a local Stellenbosch koshuis team and the 2016 WP Institude intake. This excluded the young men from the WP Academy in Tokai. What was clear as daylight, was the fact that Province has an abundance of quality players from which they can select. The competition to make the starting team, and even the reserves, will be fierce.

A number of players , including quite a few SA Schools players, did not take part due to some niggles. However, the young men on the park did not do their reputations any harm with a clinical performance. The conditioning of the players seems to be 1st. class.

Players, who according to me, made a strong claim, include the following:
Ricky Nwagbara [no.1 -Jeppie], David Meihuizen [lock- Paarl Boishaai], Noma Xaba [flank- Glenwood], Thomas Meyer [flank- Monnas],Zain Davids [no.8- Rondebosch],Jordan Chiat[ flyhalf- SACS], Cornel Smit [centre- Bishops] and Nico Leonard [wing- Paul Roos].

Soos reeds genoem, was verskeie spelers nie gister in aksie nie.

As ek egter moet geld opsit, is die WP my ‘banker’.

Dit is ‘n baie sterk groep. Sal Annandale spesifiek dophou.

Jip!! I also agree that this is a powerful line-up of players. I also know of other players at the WP Academy in Tokai that will challenge for places in the WP team.
The Bulls and Lions have also done some exellent recruiting and I know that the Cheetahs, in spite of their budget restraints, will be highly competitive, with some clever contracting.
The Leopards always manage to fight way above their weight class and the Sharks, who is keeping their cards close to their chests, have secured the services of some quality players from amongst others, Paul Roos and Paarl Gim. The Kings, who deservedly won the title this year, is an unknown factor for me at this stage, although their Craven week team did well to reach the final this year. I am unsure of the players of that team that will be available in 2016, but everyone knows that star flyhalf Kirvin Bosch have joined the Sharks.
This will ensure that the U/19 tournament will be fiercely competive in 2016.
I expect that the forward battles will be hotly contested, but do feel that WP,s pace and flair amongst their backs, may proof to be the difference at the end.

Any team that has some EG Jansen players in it, is going to be strong.

@Maroon: Stem saam.Daar gaan gesonde kompetisie wees in meeste posisies. Ek sien egter nie n sterk gebalanseerde agsteman nie? Adriaan van der Bank het my baie beindruk tydens Cravenweek. Bitter baie diepte by slotte en flanke.
