The Western Province Rugby Academy is into it’s second year now.
From their website: www.wprugbyacademy.com
Following the enormous success of the Western Province Rugby Institute (WPRI) in Stellenbosch, Western Province Rugby has become synonymous with leading the way in recognising and developing the talent and all round skills and attributes required to become a word class athlete and rugby player.
The WPRA concept and facility has been created to accommodate for the many talented young rugby players that want the best possible chance for them to pursue a professional career in Rugby Union. WPRA provides the ideal platform for this by integrating the experience, expertise and systems of the WPRI, with the leading edge methods and Athlete Development program that is incorporated into the program. The WPRA is based at the Athlete Development Center (ADC) Campus in Tokai, Cape Town, South Africa.

@beet: Hi Beet, they have quite a lot of talented athletes as well.
The school is situated in Kuilsriver
@PRG 4 Life: Happy New Year
Thanks. It’s an interesting concept. I’ve thought for a while that this is the way to go for soccer in SA, a sport that just seems to allow heaps of talent to slip through the net.
@Grasshopper: Hi there, as far as I know it is on the grounds where the former Porter Reformatory School was.
Hello Sir , complimants of the season, it was a school that was opnened by the goverment a few years ago,for kids that showed potential in different sport codes .For kids that cant afford or cant get into the Top Schools. they have boys and girls and do most sport codes, netball, volleyball, soccer, etc . Rugby is a more recent addition ,maybe 2-4 yrs 8)
@PRG 4 Life: Hi P4L. Do you know what the WP Sport School is all about. Is it a club for various schools or a school all on it’s own? One of the players on the list – Keagan Fortune attended the WPSS.
