NB: SCHOOLS ARE GOING TO BE CLOSED ON 21 MARCH 2014 BECAUSE OF THE PUBLIC HOLIDAY SO PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IN YOUR PLANNING.

The success of this phase is dependent on the full co-operation of all our schools / youth clubs to afford our young players the best opportunities.

We would like to stress the importance of this phase and would like to leave the following suggestions with our rugby organizers in our schools to be taken into consideration when planning this phase and which is entirely in the hands of the rugby organizers of the individual schools:

It is important that all schools participate in this process. (Your school must be present at the zonal meetings between 17 & 24 March.)

It is important to see that all eligible players in the specific age group in a zone get the opportunity to participate. (YOUR SCHOOL MUST BE PRESENT AT THE MEETINGS.)

All coaches in the different age groups be part of formulating procedures, dates etc. to make sure that we have a sound initial stage for the identification of potential players.

Your participation in this process is of the utmost importance to alleviate problems in the further stages of trials. (If the process has started no late comers can be accommodated.)

3

We therefore request that each zone holds a planning session where all role players are present and do the planning around your own school program in such a way to accommodate the fact that the official trials can start up with 12 zonal teams including the best possible players in your zone.

To achieve the above we will need your buy in, full co-operation and support.

NB: WHEN NOMINATING ONLY NOMINATE THE TOP 3 TO 5 PLAYERS IN YOUR SCHOOL SIDE AND ASSESS YOUR SCHOOL AND THE LEAGUE YOU PLAY IN AGAINST YOUR COLLEAGUES AND THEIR SCHOOLS IN YOUR ZONE.
