Academy Week 2013: KwaZulu-Natal Country Districts team

For the second year in a row, a KZN CD team has been selected to play at Academy Week. Judging by the final trial match, they should combine to form a decent team, even though the players come from no fewer than 14 different schools across KZN.

@TheGoose: hi Jaco Pretorius was not at College. The plan in Gr 7 was to go to College but unfortunately his mother passed away during that December holidays. He then stayed in Richardsbay. He was in Gr 9 at Glenwood’s academy-week but decided to stay at Richardsbaai Hoërskool. Jaco is an extremely talented boy (in athletics also) and would be able to go far with the right opportunities.

3 pionier boys and one of them my neighbor in pongola!!!! congrats
think this is a good representation for the rest of natal. thought one or to may have made the craven week team. not good for natal rugby if small schools get overlooked.

@Griffon: @TheGoose: That combo of Jaco Pretorius and Andile Ndlovu is a very good one. Along with fullback Heunis from Richards Bay and wing Booyse from Ferum when they went left during trials 1st half they seemed to get 5-points each and every time.

Beet said that J Pretorius from RBay used to be at College and was an excellent player. Hope he gets a chance to shine.
