@BlouLou: That’s excellent for WK. Sounds like they are back in business. Well done!

@kantako: this Helpmekaar we played team did beat serious teams u/14 and u/15. Not sure what happened in the 2020 disastrous year.

Would be interesting to see if the losses against a really good team from WK (including the coaches here) will spark a frenzy of recruitment from Helpmekaar and Menlo?

@BlouLou: a fantastic result vs Helpmekaar today. Looks like the plan WK principal had to become one of the best sport schools is paying off as I remember WK gr11 and gr12 group of this year to not have been very competitive at junior level. Good win for WK against HMK group U/17 who have always won the Virsekerbeker?

Somethinge VERY BIG wrong at HMK maybe they should look at investing some money into coaches and not just buying kids. If your rule out a very pathetic 4 point win over Bethlehem Voortrekker in early 2020 then the last proper 1st team match that HMK won was Virsekerbeker semi final way back in 2019, now also recording losses against Marais Viljoen and WK and taking some big 50’s on Noord/Suid and vs EG.

Come on Klaus get the act together.

@Vleis: school did a survey amongst the grade 12’s. All sporting codes included (not just rugby) there were only 8 grade 12 scholars that wanted to continue with sports. It was therefore decided that WK will go the u/17 route…………… And then we also knocked Helpmekaar tonight!

@BlouLou: Congrats on an excellent result, but why are the matrics not playing? I see that KES 1st team beat Affies, so I presume that was not u17?

@Vleis: Yes he did. He is still u/17. It was a great result for WK. This team might just surprise some more fancied teams next year (that is if there is rugby in the 3rd year of the great lockdown)

@BlouLou: Schools who have been continuously in the gym can play matches from 25th August. Those who did nix have to wait till 11 September.

Not sure who will police that but expect things like Bish/ Bosch and Paarl derby to take place before Provinces take over in final weeks of September
