@RuggaZ: poor footage so my guess would be Warrick Gelant – with the jump step and offload in contact to spark the move

Sorry to go off topic here for a bit, but I saw a video of one of the SA Schools tries against Wales from last year and was hoping someone could identify the player who makes the break at 1:03.. Thanks!

    The video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j22MYopnAIs

@GreenBlooded: We will put a heart rate monitor on you, I am willing to bet a round or two of beers your pulse rate will reveal allegiance.

I remember a wise man, or it could have been an ordinary oke and I was a bit p#ssed, once telling me, when I could not make up my mind about a choice, to toss a coin. Not that I would ever let the coin decide for me, but that once the coin was in the air I would know whether I wanted it to be heads or tails.

There will be a moment on 25th May when the coim will be in the air …

Well done to Queens and their game-breaking x-factor backs who made the difference in this one.

I have nothing against Queens but after College did so well to defeat Grey High and then hold a good Noord-Kaap team, it was frustrating to watch them go down to a determined Queens team.

College put up decent stats today but in the handful of first time tackles missed lies the answer to why they did not win this game. Queens backs #14 Jabusa and #15 Zaula did the damage and then #11 Danquah also really good when he had ball in hand.

@Gungets Tuft: @Rugger fan: Come the 25th May I think I will be the only guy next to Goldstones not having a heart attack. Kind of like my mate who was born in New Zealand, grew up in South Africa and emigrated to Australia. He never loses a Tri-Nations match!!

Well done to the Kudu aka Ingonyama!I was really nervous for you okes there.I was hoping you win,but really thought College had the upper hand.In fact, I hoping College soften you up for the Dalians at your reunion  Sounds like this was a great SBR spectacle.
The scoreline reflects that the match was characteristic of the way each of these schools play the game.

    @Slam: Yellow for what offence?

Seem to have been a lot of cards over the Easter tournaments – boys trying to get a grip on the tackle laws???

I have seen a lot at S15 level where the tackled player actually jumps into the tackle now and puts pressure on the tackler to actually catch the silly bugger and then try and put him down. The yellow against Lionel Mapoe was a case in point, the tackled player actually threw himself over Mapoe’s shoulder and still manufactured a yellow from the TV ref.

I agree, we should’ve taken Brandwag easily, I was actually worried with 15 minutes to go when we led 19-10, we actually led Brandwag by the same margin with 6 minutes to go. Just happy the boys finally came good

@Queenian: wasn’t Bolze in the centres, he’s comfortable at 10, 12 and 13. I hope they build the momentum for reunion from here on. Zaula at fullback is a gem, glad Danquah is finally catching, could’ve easily got a hattrick against Brandwag had he caught the ball

@Gungets Tuft: Hi did play and got a yellow during the game

Well done to Queens on that win the boys must be chuffed. I’m gutted after that loss but such is the unpredictability for schoolboy rugby. College will need to work harder and come back fighting in preparation for the domestic season

@Amalekite: Big problem for them is how to use there backs they are really good and not to lose concentration that cost them against Brandwag were they thought the ref had blown his whisltle and let a soft try in, anyway thats better.

@Queenian: Well done. IMHO Queens should already feature in top 20.
There are definitely some slow starters who certain teams can look back and be happy that they played them when they did. I think that that happens every year.

@Ludz: You know some bad handling against Brandwag and Affies and the loss of the Fortuin kid show what could have been a great season, Anyway if they gel going forward maybe a top 20 position still possible.

Familiar pattern for College. Get way behind the pace early on and then play catch up, generally fall a point or 2 short.
