SA Schools 2013: under-18 international series in August

For a second year running the SA Schools team will take part in a quadrangular international under-18 series against England, France and Wales. Last year the series proved to be a huge success and was a fitting reward for boys who had made the national team.

The only letdown was that the games were not televised in 2012. If SARU wants to continue with the policy of only staging games in the Western Cape and thereby denying the rest of the schoolboy rugby loving population the opportunity to watch the SA School team live, then they really need to make an effort to ensure that these games are broadcast on TV, otherwise their decision to keep the games in the Cape are just plain unfair.

We have a very talented and well balanced squad this year. We will torture the Northern hemisphere this year. Would be nice if SARU can organize a similar tournament with AUS & NZ for the boys.

@sharkie: For the love ofthe game and an eagle eye for talent, I wear all jerseys.

Rugby is a business and its biggest consumers are the spectators, do you not think the your intimation has what it takes to draw the crowds?

    5 props, 3 hookers, 3 locks, 4 flanks, 2 scrumhalves, 2 flyhalves, 4 centres, 2 wings, 2 fullbacks… and only 1 eighth man.

We need another specialist 8th man……..
