For the first time two Welkom schools have topped the tables in the competitive Griffons league. Welkom Gymnasium ended in first position, while Goudveld occupied the runners-up spot.
The two Griffons League semi-finals take place on Saturday at the North West Stadium in Welkom this Saturday, 28 July 2018.
1) Goudveld vs Voortrekker(Bethlehem);
2) Welkom Gymnasium vs Witteberg
Gimmies are the only one of the four playoff contenders who are not part of the Wesgrow Sentrale Skole Sportreeks that made it’s debut this season. The reason for Gimmies’ exclusion is because the WSSS consists of rugby, hockey and netball.
