Northwood days away from naming a replacement coach

Northwood is expected to announce the name their new 1st XV Head Coach during the first week of 2013. A few weeks ago Swys de Bruin, the then newly appointed Northwood Head Coach caught just about everyone by surprise when he broke the news that he was off to join the Golden Lions as the Backline Coach. The Durban North school looked to be in a spot of bother with their 2013 season kicking off earlier than most. They have however moved very swiftly to fill the position and were fortunate that a number of suitably qualified candidates made themselves available for the post on such short notice. As a result, expect a worthy successor to be appointed and don’t be too surprised if it’s a very familiar name.

@HORSEFLY NO.1: Coaching schoolboys is a different dynamic. Who knows, perhaps NW will be more successful than planned if they get the right coach. Altho one thing that can’t be replaced easily is Swys’ involvement in coaching the other Northwood age-group coaches which I was led to believe has been very beneficial.

Yeah but this will still have a negative effect on Northwood in some way. Some plans made will have to be scrapped now.
