Several of the Dale Junior Councillors from their Grade-7 Class of 2011 will continue in the same leadership vein as prefects at their respective high schools in 2016. Amongst them are a few Head Boys and Deputy Head Boys.

Geez what an incredible finish to this good game. Queen’s scored an awesome try with hardly any time lift to take the lead. Dale struck back with a superb effort of their own to regain the lead by a point. Queen’s then produced some outstanding focused rugby combining good handling with  continuity from rucks as part of a patient attack but the Dale defensive structures were up to the task and held out for a memorable win.…

As predicted back at the start of the season, Grey High and Selborne will meet in Port Elizabeth on Saturday 15 August to determine who the best 1st team in the Eastern Cape Province is for 2015. Both schools are unbeaten in games played against fellow Eastern Cape rivals. …

Having served as a 1st XV assistant before, Grey Old Boy Tim Fraser has been the stand in head coach for the 2015 season after Brent Janse van Rensburg’s sudden departure to join the Golden Lions (now the EP Kings Currie Cup coach) before the school rugby season. The school has now placed an advert for a new Head of Rugby.…

Queen’s College took on hosts, Graeme College, in Grahamstown this past weekend. The match was played in near perfect conditions, which was conducive for running rugby. Queen’s won the toss and played with the gentle breeze at their backs.…

THE annual Meyer Sauerman Tournament will take place at Brandwag on Saturday (May 16).
The tournament features the final trials teams in the U18 and U16 age-groups, after which the teams for the interprovincials in July will be chosen.…

Queen’s College hosted Kingswood College, from Grahamstown, at The Recreation Ground. The match was played in overcast and windy conditions but this did not hamper the flow of the game as both teams attacked relentlessly for the entire match. The game produced eleven tries which had the crowd on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.…

Queen’s College hosted Welkom Gimnasium at The Recreation Ground, on Friday the 24th of April, for the first time in the two schools’ history. The game was played in perfect conditions.…

A record number of teams from Queen’s College, in Queenstown, participated in various rugby festivals throughout the country over the Easter Holidays. The Queen’s College First XV and Queen’s College Junior U13A participated at the KES Easter Festival, whilst the U16A took part in the Jeppe Festival and the U15A and U14A teams took part at the Grey High School Festival in Port Elizabeth. All the teams performed admirably and managed to win all their fixtures against their various opponents.…
