    @QC2000: Ja now you’re bringing back hurtful memories…jee weez that Bertram Johnson. Only one guy in our team, Kanya Mdaka, managed to tackle him….and he only did it once!The guy was a freak of nature. Best junior school player I have ever seen. The joy we had after he left for Grey Bloem was out of this world. We lost to Selborne 10-17 in the first game in EL at under 14 (thanks to some seriously dodgy refereeing – by an ex Dale teacher who was then teaching at Selborne :roll: ), and then never again. I remember in the return game, handing them 40 points, with the crowd chanting “Where’s Bertram NOW?” Hahahaha! Good times

    Ryan had a massive boot on him and deadly too. He was actually much better in 1999, went off the boil a bit in 2000. Talking of school boy players of our era, do you remember one Bertram Johnson. He was by far the best junior school boy rugby player i have ever seen. He was a junior Lomu. In u13 my old man promised me R5 every time I tackled him. I never got close, I just hid in the rucks. Loved it when he went to Grey Bloem.

    Dale had a really good age group, i dont think we ever beat you in high school. Since u15 we didnt lose to Selborne, i’m sure like you guys.

    @Queenian: Hahahaha!

    The year 2000 was sweet. The last time Dale got the double double. There was one Ryan Schutte, the QC flyhalf…man did that oke have a boot on him! We were luckily able to score tries :mrgreen:

    @Queenian: Would give QC a chance next year there age groups are not to bad. And Dale always seem to come up with some good teams even if there age groups battle.

    But ye agree don’t see QC and Dale winning more than 2 or 3 out of the next 10 games against Selborne.

    @Playa: With Selborne Under13/14/15/16 all being so strong I think the Kudu and Tickbird pickings are slim over the next 5 years. :oops:

    @Playa: @Queenian: Tell you what next weeks clash at the Graveyard will be a classic up until I saw QC play Selborne 2 weeks ago I would have Dale winning by 25 point but now after watching that game I am not to sure QC seem to be on the front foot again.
