    @boerboel: Don’t worry about them, Bush, Playa and I have done a merger arbitrage deal with a model DD and taken it private and we are building our stock for 2021 when we all turn 45, to celebrate our coming of age.

    @Wyvern: Our best u16A player never returned after Grant Khomo. There is another u16A player who was also approached by a KZN school. That’s two of our best players, both boys in grade 10. Unacceptable!

    @boerboel: Howzit Boerboel, I’m concerned, the new season in fast approaching and I’m not sure if I can recruit definitely or not for grade 9 and whether there is a concession for at least the first two months of grade 10. Our stocks are low and I just want to do the right thing.

    @Playa: There’s a particular Durban based school that has also started approaching some of our boys too! The audacity to do it mid way through a season too :evil:

    @boerboel: Is grade 8 and maybe grade 9 werfing acceptable or could we also include the first two months of grade 10? I just want to be certain. Thanks

    @sewes: Geen twyfel NZ skole werf/poach ook. Die skool het egter te ver gegaan volgens die ander. Daarom my punt waar trek jy die lyn as daar nie regulering is nie.

    Ek wil nie weer die kan wurms oop maak nie maar dis nie te se dat as almal dit doen dit reg is nie.As een skool voordeel trek word n ander skool benadeel.As n kind weg van sy huis is is daar n prys voor te betaal.

    @Playa: @boerboel: I think we already past this situation. For any headmaster to take a stance his own house needs to be in order … thus no recruitment or where do you draw the line.

    @tzavosky: 8-O 8-O 8-O 8-O 8-O WOW!
    That explains the headmaster’s arrogance – he clearly is leading from the front

    @boerboel: Under 16A player from my alma mater – who was just about guaranteed a 1st XV spot next year recently got scooped up by a Durban based school.He was on a scholarship at Dale. When even boys already on a scholarship are poached, you know things are only getting worse.

    Yip,i agree.
    I have no problem with recruiting for grade 8 and maybe grade 9-but thereafter kids should be left alone.

    SA SBR is heading for his situation. I just hope there will be a few ballsy headmasters who can take a similar stand.

    A couple of things I picked up on in the article:

    1. Headmaster who comes across as arrogant
    2. New Zealanders not buying into the famous “they came to us” party line which is also overused by uncreative recruiters in SA in their attempts to justify their acquisitions.
